About KV

Kendriya Vidyalaya Jourian was established on 7th December 2012 in the Akhnoor Tehsil of Jammu District. The school is located 18 km from Akhnoor and 5.5 km from the Jourian Bus Stand. It is a Civil Sector Vidyalaya managed by the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS), an autonomous body under the Ministry of Education, Government of India.

Currently, the Vidyalaya is functioning from a temporary building, while the construction of its permanent campus, spread over 84 kanals and 15 marlas, is in progress. The vidyalaya is single section from Class I to Class X and is dedicated to provide quality education to the children of the region.

The Vidyalaya strives for the holistic development of students through Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE), ensuring their intellectual, social, and emotional growth.
